Lagoon!

Here is our 2nd annual trip to Lagoon.  We went for the first time last year (and it was sooooooo weird going after not being there for about 15 years...) and thought we should make this a tradition!  It's a little pricey, but our friends, the Steadmans,  hook us up with discounted tickets through Maverick.  (go Maverick!!)  So.  We were able to go, and we had a BLAST.  Lilah had the privilege to stay home with Grandma, but everyone else came.

But.

I think we should have left Gage at home too.  He was TERRIFIED of each and every ride we went on.  Even the teeny kid rides he would FREAK out on until they got going, then he would smile.  I felt like a bad Mom smiling at him and saying, "oh you'll be fine.....just wait until the ride starts" as he's SCREAMING.  I think the Lagoon employees were a little worried. :)

Around 4pm we drove the kids home and then went back to Lagoon with just us parents.  We stayed there until the park closed, and Chance even talked me into going on "The Rocket" with him.  The whole "free-fall is fun" thing didn't really go well for me though.....although I have to say ~ Chance was more terrified than I was...haha.  He is terrified of heights, and as I was sitting up top enjoying the view waiting to be dropped to our imminent deaths, I thought, "this is a really pretty view!" as Chance sat next to me saying, "This is high.  This is REALLY REALLY high.  Oh man.......this is high."

Haha...dig.

We went on Wicked, The Spider (which is NOT good if you don't do well with spinning....just FYI), and note to self:  do NOT take the drowsy Dramamine next year!!  It makes you LOOPIE.  We went on the sky-ride and I had flashbacks to when I was 15 riding that thing mustering up all the courage necessary to say "hi" to the boys passing by......and we even enjoyed both Haunted Houses.    Most importantly, I also got my Churro.  Whew!!

Thank you Steadmans ~ we had so much fun.

You'll see as time goes on that this face is going to be the typical "Gage" face throughout the day.

This is my favorite photo of Crede this entire year.  What a handsome boy.

Our kids LOVED this ride......oh wait.  Gage didn't.

Morgan and Abigale...

Hi Grace.....you cute girl you.

What?!  Gage has an actual SMILE on?  Oh......see he didn't know I wasn't riding this with him.

The smile ends.........

HERE.  But as you can see....he was smiling towards the end...just look at those tears shining in his eyes.  Goofy kid!

Typical Crede face....

I have to give him props though....he always comes up with something new.

Crede looks so excited over there....and I'm LOVING the girl in front here texting away....

Chance had to do some pretty heavy coaxing to get Gage to go on the bumper cars.  He did it though, and I THINK this is the only ride that he didn't actually cry on.

Chance took my camera to take some photo's as I was going on Puff the Magic Dragon with Grace.  Here's Alan showing Chance what a LOSER he thinks he is.  Thanks Alan.....

Didn't QUITE get the smile on this ride.....close though.

Here we are....waiting in line for Puff.  I look like I'm having fun, don't I.

Some more "Chance" shots of the day......

Gotta admit...Chance did pretty well!  Yay husband of mine.

As we were leaving, we noticed this splash pad.....so of COURSE we let the kids get all wet since we were leaving anyway :).  They splashed to a little "Queen"....as I was having some Waynes World flashbacks....

The wet rats after they were done.  Is Crede turning into a rabbit!?  Oh wait....that's just Ian in the background there.....Thanks.  Oh and Gage?  He was too nervous to get wet....silly kid!!

Until next year.........yippeeeeeee!

Apocolypse?

So..........anyone want to tell me why the Sun is red?

It was a little creepy if you ask me.  (I didn't think we had that much haze in the air.)

Toothless

Shhh....don't tell Grace this, but I was SOO excited for her to lose her front tooth!  See, she LOVED to suck her thumb when she was little, and as a result, she had some pretty impressive crooked front teeth.  I was HOPING that when she lost her teeth that she would be super committed to not suck her thumb at night anymore.

So.

Her tooth was loose, and she asked Dad to pull it out.

Here is is before....(a little nervous)

It wouldn't be a good day unless Chance was goofing off with the kids somehow.  He pretended to pull out Grace's tooth and then showed it to her.  It took her a minute....haha Dad.

The actual "pulling"...

Here's our Toothless.

I LOOOOVE those blue eyes.  Good job Grace!!  You did it...and the Tooth Fairy brought her a whole DOLLAR that night.

PS ~ as a side note, she lost her OTHER front tooth about 2 weeks later.  She was playing in her soccer game and got PUMMELED in the face with the ball.  Surprise.....her OTHER front tooth was loose.  It was a good thing that Dad was at the soccer game.  He pulled that one out too.  That night Grace left a note for the tooth fairy that said, "Can me and Morgan see you please?"  The tooth fairy replied:  "Maybe when you lose your very last tooth.  PS....You are such a pretty little girl Grace.  Morgan, you are one smart cookie."

Lucky girl!

Airheads.

It must be a guy thing.  Get them around a power tool and they come up with different uses.....

CREATIVE uses.

Chance was pumping up some bike tires the other day and thought...."Hey.  What else can I do with this air compressor?"

Here's your answer:

Then of course Morgan said, "Hey~ can I try that?"

Here's HER result.

Not QUITE as impressive, but I'll give it an "A" for effort.
